As promised, I’ve determined to take on the subject of atonement as it is related to the afore Christology. Atonement may be defined as follows: The atonement is the work Christ did in his life and death to earn our salvation. Sometimes it is used to refer only to Jesus’ dying and paying for our sins on the cross. But, since some salvation also came from Christ’s life, these are included in the definition. IV. The Extent of the Atonement
There isn’t as much here as there was on the previous Incarnation/Christology, the time required to cover it will be less. Afterwards, I will go through some of the tellings of theologians on these same subjects for completeness sake.
