Ephesians 3:14-21 (NIV)

This passage is an amazing prayer.  I encourage you to pray this prayer each day this week and see what God will do in and through you.

One part of the prayer focuses on Christ’s love.  “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,…”

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke about three dimensions of love, seeing them  as the key to a complete life.

He said, “Love yourself if that means healthy self-respect.                                         That is the length of life.

Love your neighbor as yourself; you are commanded to do that.                                That is the breadth of life.

But never forget there is an even greater commandment,  ‘Love the lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’                          This is the height of life.”

May we know, understand, and be a vessel for the deep love of Christ, that we many love God and love our neighbor.

“I believe the unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word in reality.”   Martin Luther King, Jr.
