In God we trust. A familiar phrase for Americans. This Psalm is a reminder of in whom we should place our trust. This Psalm is fitting for me today for sure. I can stress and worry about some things going on in my life at the moment, or I can simply trust God’s plan. But I know that worry will not change things. Stressing will only do more harm than good. But I know that God has my back. The last couple of verses tell me this…”Therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices; my body also rests secure.10 For you do not give me up to Sheol, or let your faithful one see the Pit. 11 You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Rejoice and be glad. If God is for us, who can stand against us? What do you choose? I choose to place my trust in God.
This may be one of my shortest blog entries, but it is because this one is straight forward.
